About the Opportunity:
An established and respected engineering firm is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer with a strong background in Land Development to lead and manage complex site development projects. This is a strategic role offering the opportunity to shape project outcomes, mentor junior staff, and play a key role in the firm's continued growth.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and manage civil engineering design for land development projects including site layout, grading, stormwater systems, and utility infrastructure.
Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables from concept through construction.
Serve as a technical expert and resource for internal teams and external stakeholders.
Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project execution.
Mentor and guide junior engineers, reviewing plans and providing quality control.
Support business development efforts, including proposal preparation and client relationship management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
8+ years of progressive experience in land development design and project management.
PE license required.
Expertise in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant design tools.
In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting processes and development regulations.
Proven leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and complex development projects.
Strong client-facing and proposal writing experience.
Familiarity with a variety of project types including residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments.
