As an Applications Engineer, you will play a critical role in expanding our electrical automation product lines by combining technical knowledge with strategic sales initiatives. Key Responsibilities + Market Development: Drive growth of automation product lines through strategic initiatives and customer engagement. + Sales Support: Provide technical expertise and training to sales representatives and customers. + Customer Interaction: Identify opportunities, promote solutions, and deliver consultative support. + Presentations & Training: Develop and deliver professional presentations showcasing automation products. + Collaboration: Work closely with engineering and sales teams to support business growth and technical success. Required Qualifications + Education: 2-year technical degree in engineering or related field. + Experience:3+ years in an industrial automation environment. + Proven technical sales experience. + Technical Skills:Proficiency in PLC code reading and troubleshooting. + Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics. Preferred Skills + Strong communication and presentation abilities for diverse audiences. + Strategic thinker with a consultative, solution-selling approach. + Self-motivated, organized, and driven to achieve technical and sales goals. + Team-oriented mindset with effective collaboration skills. Work Environment + Travel: Approximately 25% regional travel (KS, MO, IL). + Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM. + Dress Code: Business casual. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Louis, MO. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $57.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
