Responsibilities:
· Provide a complete machine design with minimal assistance
· Ensure effective communication with customers, product and project managers, and team members in machine design with respect to customer requirements, operator operation, and schedule planning while managing multiple projects
· Support during part manufacturing and machine assembly as required for multiple projects
· Train other Mechanical Engineers and Engineering Techs
Requirements:
· BSME
· Automotive industry machine design experience is desirable
· Basic machine design disciplines and practices
· Ability to run FEA on structural components
· Create 3d models of working machines
· Proficiency in 3d Cad a must (Inventor & SolidWorks a plus)
· 2d Cad design required for machine layout
· Basic understanding of pneumatics/hydraulics
· Ability to create & detail mechanical print sets
· Understanding of GD&T
· Ability to create and maintain bills of material for projects
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office
· Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers using tact and diplomacy
· Ability to travel domestically (5-10%)
