Manufacturing Engineer | Spring Lake, MI

Salary Range: $67,000 - $106,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

• Optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost reduction.
• Design, develop, and implement new tooling, fixtures, and equipment.
• Support new product introduction (NPI) from design to full-scale production.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues related to processes, materials, and equipment.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive manufacturing documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability of new designs.

Recommended Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role, with a focus on process optimization and efficiency.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and experience with industrial automation or robotics.
• Demonstrated application of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Strong project management skills, capable of leading improvement initiatives from concept to completion.

Bonus Qualifications

• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
• Proficiency with specific ERP (e.g., SAP) or PLM (e.g., Teamcenter) software
• Experience with Additive Manufacturing (3D printing) technologies
• Programming experience for automation or data analysis (e.g., Python, VBA)
