Job Description

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Layout Foreman to support our project superintendents. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator, able to work independently and as part of a team, and have a strong understanding of commercial plantings and green infrastructure construction.

Responsibilities

• Supporting project superintendents as needed throughout all phases of a project.
• Understanding and executing the scope of work in an efficient, effective, and professional manner.
• Reading, comprehending, and implementing various construction drawings and contract specifications.
• Communicating instructions clearly to field personnel, clients, and superiors.
• Employing motivational techniques to achieve high production rates and inspire team accountability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in green infrastructure construction as a foreman or equivalent.
• Experience using grade rod and laser (GIS a plus) and knowledge of survey techniques.
• Understanding of general financial principles and their application to various scopes of work.
• Ability to learn and apply management skills, particularly in organizing plans to complete projects according to budget.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, in a direct and respectful manner.

Position Location

This position is based out of our Silver Spring, MD office.
