Position Summary

The Expo (Food Expeditor) is the crucial link between our kitchen and front-of-house teams. You will be responsible for ensuring that all dishes leaving the kitchen meet our quality standards, are plated correctly, and are delivered to guests in a timely and organized manner. This role demands a sharp eye for detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the liaison between kitchen staff and servers, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of orders.
• Double-check tickets for accuracy and completeness before food is sent to tables.
• Ensure food presentation is consistent with Khao Sen’s quality and visual standards.
• Coordinate the timing of dishes for tables with multiple items.
• Communicate effectively with line cooks and servers to maintain a smooth workflow.
• Handle modifications, allergy notes, and special instructions carefully and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the expo station.
• Assist with packaging takeout and delivery orders during peak hours.
• Alert kitchen and management to any delays, issues, or special guest requests.
• Support team with side work and closing duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an expo, runner, or fast-paced restaurant role preferred.
• Strong multitasking and communication skills.
• High attention to detail, especially regarding food quality and plating.
• Calm and focused under pressure during peak service times.
• Friendly, team-oriented attitude.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
