Construction Surveillance Technician I to join our team. The Construction Surveillance Technician’s primary function is to provide day-to-day security in support of Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) & Special Access Program Facility (SAPF) construction efforts.
Performance Shall Include - Assesses, identifies and communications recommendations for improvements of policies, procedures, or systems.
- Identifies threats, vulnerabilities, and potential risks.
- Drafts security incident reports and briefs government and civilian agencies including military senior leaders.
- Manages uniformed escort personnel and associated logs; assigns, trains, briefs site security duties and ensures timely reporting of security incidents to site lead.
- Follow and enforce customers’ Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Perform miscellaneous administrative support functions as directed by the contractor site lead and/or the Senior Security Representative
- Shall conduct inspections of materials being delivered for utilization in construction of secure spaces.
- Will photograph and continuously monitor the construction of secure spaces and document all steps in order to support final accreditation packets
Experience - 1 - 2 years related experience
- Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) counts towards 3 years exp.
- Special Program Security Certification (SPSC) counts towards 5 years of experience
- Maximum equivalent experience for SPED Certifications is no more than 5 years Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience (4 years)
Desired Experience - Knowledgeable on Intelligence Community Directive (ICD) 705 (on SCIFs and compliance with uniform IC physical and technical security requirements)
Education - Bachelor’s degree is desired and counts towards 4 years of experience. Associates degree counts towards 2 years of experience.
Certification Security Clearance - Must obtain an Interim Secret clearance to start and be willing and able to obtain up to a TS/SCI with Counterintelligence polygraph
Other Requirements - Complete additional safety training and/or certification as required by local site (i.e., OSHA 10 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection and OSHA Confined Space) within the first 30 days of hire.
- Must obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP course completion within the first 30 days of hire.
