Job Description

JOB SUMMARY

Performs routine chemical analysis work. Work involves assisting in conducting chemical analyses

and physical testing of materials, chemicals, and products; and assisting with research studies.

Works under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent

judgment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

A. Assists in the chemical and physical analyses of items produced at the soap and detergent

factory; and ensures product quality standards.

B. Interprets test results and prepares test reports; and assists in the physical testing and chemical

analysis of products.

C. Interprets chemical and physical analyses; and conducts research on various chemicals and

materials.

D. Maintains security of tools, machinery, and equipment; responds to emergency situations;

performs various correctional and custodial support functions; and assists in maintaining

security of assigned inmates.

* Performs a variety of marginal duties not listed, to be determined and assigned as needed.
