The David F. Rankin College of Business at Southern Arkansas University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant/Associate Professor of Economics and Statistics position beginning August 2026. Review of Applications will begin January 12, 2026, and continue until the position is filled.
Duties: Teach seated and online graduate and undergraduate courses in economics and quantitative analysis/statistics, such as principles of microeconomics, managerial economics, economics for decision-making, statistics and analysis, and business analytics. The candidate is expected to maintain AACSB Scholarly Academic (SA) standards by producing scholarly research that leads to publications in refereed journals, advising students, serving on various committees at the college and university levels, and performing other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in economics or a closely related field from an AACSB-accredited or equivalent institution with the ability to teach economics and some finance and/or statistics courses. ABD candidates nearing completion may be considered. Preferred consideration will be given to applicants who can demonstrate relevant teaching experience at the university level and/or the ability to make scholarly contributions through refereed journal publications and other intellectual activities.
